KDAS is one of the oldest Art Societies in the country
We are primarily an exhibiting Society which today has approximately 145 members. Some are professional and semi-professional artists, others are amateurs who produce work of high standard and wide diversity. We have both Associate and Full Members, the latter by invitation after a review by the Committee of work in the Annual Exhibition.
Seven years ago KDAS and the Friends of Kettering Art Gallery & Museum were given the opportunity to have a large shop space in the Kettering Newlands Centre to promote both Societies. We called it ARTworks Creative Space, and with our 60 plus resident KDAS artists, it has become a popular visiting space in Kettering, introducing art to a public who may not always visit an Art Gallery. Staffed by volunteers both from KDAS and the Friends.

To celebrate the 120 years of our history, KDAS published a 20 page illustrated booklet, detailing the artists who first formed the group in 1905 through to the present day. It represents a time capsule showing the changes in local art over those 120 years. Click on cover to view.
